Influenced by icons like Lee Krasner, Sally Gabori, Dorothea Tanning, Willem de Kooning, Van Gogh, Matisse, and Rothko, Edwina loves experimenting with abstract and impressionist styles, especially when it comes to playing with vibrant colours.
Coming up for Air
Oil on canvas, 30cm x 40cm x 3.5cm, edges painted neon pink. Free shipping Australia wide.
Suspended in deep indigo, a lone diver floats with grace and stillness — her form outlined in electric pink, as if lit from within. Coming up for Air captures the surreal quiet of underwater space, while playful, gestural strokes evoke both the joy and solitude of the moment. The neon-painted edges extend the energy of the figure beyond the surface, transforming the piece into a glowing object. A vibrant study in contrast and motion, this painting invites the viewer to sink into a dreamlike realm of colour and calm
